Our People
Gaynor Sherer
President, Lead of Interiors - TX/OK
Gaynor Sherer, graduate of Texas Tech University with BS in Fashion Merchandising/Minor in Business Marketing, joined her father, Tony Boxell, in their family business in 2001. She brought her decade of experience in product development and material sourcing for major manufacturers such as Reebok, Liz Claiborne and Eddie Bauer to apply in the world of marketing commercial building materials.
Gaynor and her Husband Rob live in Cypress, TX and have a daughter attending Texas State University and a son studying at Oregon State University. Gaynor enjoys fishing anytime she can get out on the Galveston Bay, offshore, in Cabo or on the rivers of Colorado – those are her favorite places to vacation.
Rob Sherer
Partner, Operations
Prior to joining Specified Intex Rob Sherer spent 20 or so years managing large retail territories, as well as, a few of his own retail stores. In addition to his operations experience, Rob brings Specified Int+Ex a great deal of skills in the quantitative area. Rob’s focus on efficiencies and data management has been critical in helping Specified Int+Ex transform from a task oriented operation to a more process based operation. Growing up in New Jersey, he learned business at a young age but never allows work to squelch a desire to make things fun. Rob is our energetic one and brings lots of positive vibes any where he goes!! Rob has a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Thomas Edison State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology.
Valerie Boxell
Partner, Contractor Business Development
Valerie is head of contractor sales and customer relations. Her continued focus on the relationships with our customers and manufacturers is instrumental to the success of Specified Int+Ex. Her passion is creating an engaging, and enjoyable customer experience from the bidding stage all the way to a successful project installation. Valerie joined her Father, Tony Boxell-Founder of SI, in 1999 and she just celebrated her 20th Anniversary this year at Specified Int+Ex (previously Specified Interiors).
Outside of the office Valerie has 3 beautiful children, twin daughters Lexi & Lily, and her son Grayson. Valerie also enjoys fishing tournaments and traveling.
Taylor Boustead
VP of Sales - Mountain States (CO/NM/WY/UT/MT)
Taylor Boustead, joins the Specified Int+Ex team with over 15 years of experience in specialty manufacturing, working closely with A+D and contractor community on award winning projects. He believes that business is people and building long lasting relationships is the key to a fulfilling life. He graduated from the University of Oregon – Charles H. Lundquist School of Business with a BA in Business Administration and Management. Taylor, his wife Erika and three boys just moved to Colorado, where they are enjoying the beautiful weather, playing outside and building new relationships.
Madison Maurer
Sales Consultant - Interior Architectural Products
Austin & San Antonio
Madison is originally from Houston and graduated from Texas State University with a BBA in Marketing. As the sales consultant for interiors in Austin and San Antonio, Madison focuses on being a reliable and knowledgeable resource to the A/D community by providing long lasting and innovative design solutions through our interior product lines. In Madison’s free time she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and working on her golf swing!
Craig Chedsey
Senior Sales Consultant - North TX & OK Interior/Exterior
Austin & San Antonio Exterior
Craig Chedsey joins SI team with 18 years of A+D experience in consultative technical sales. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX and set his sights on the growing city of Austin. He spent his early career in Architectural coatings working directly with contractors and national accounts. Growing his architectural products background, he was able to be an integral part of the design of several award-winning projects transforming the Austin skyline. Outside of work, Craig and his family enjoy camping and riding/racing mountain bikes and dirt bikes.
Jennifer "Jeni" Beecher
Carvart Business Development / Office Manager
Jeni joined our team in 2017 and is better known to us as "Mama Jeni". She always goes above and beyond for the team and handles all the behind-the-scenes work!! She brings over 13 years of Executive Administrative experience to the table with expertise in office management, event planning and marketing. In 2020 Jeni was promoted to manage Carvart Business Development as well as assisting with operational functions for the SI team. When Jeni is not working, she stays busy with her Husband and their two kids, her daughter Emily is on the Lil Wranglers dance team and son Cash plays football, keeping them pretty busy! Jeni also enjoys boating and attending concerts!
Fun Fact: Jeni has been skydiving!
Anthony Sherer
Project Estimator / Contractor Support / Sales Assist
Anthony joined SI as an intern in 2020 and is now full time based on the West Coast. His primary role is analyzing construction documents and performing material takeoffs for our manufacturers. Additional responsibilities include: contractor liaison for the mountain region, running all construction search engines, submitting RFQ packages to manufacturers. Anthony is attending Oregon State University studying Construction Engineering Management. In his free time he likes to hike, camp and garden!
Anthony Kurowski
Contractor Support/ Sales Assist
Anthony is one of our newest additions to the team and works as a contractor liaison for South Texas by facilitating pricing from all manufacturers to our contractor base.
Anthony grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from TXST University in December 2022 with a BBA in Marketing & Management from the McCoy College of Business. When he is not working, Anthony enjoys floating the river with friends, playing video games and traveling!
Gabriella Sherer
Marketing Coordinator
As marketing coordinator, Gabby is focused on all aspects of our website, social media, samples, as well as implementing her design experience to create fresh new digital marketing materials that showcase our portfolio of products and spotlight projects. As the daughter of Gaynor and Rob Sherer, Gabby has grown up in the business and is excited to be joining the team as she completes her college education. She graduated from Texas State University in May 2023, with her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and minor in Marketing. In her free time, Gabby enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and working on her artistic practice as a sculptor and painter!
